NEW DELHI | Congress president Rahul Gandhi has been always in an unpitched battle with BJP. This time he criticised the opposition party for BJP’s Sankalp Patra, party’s manifesto on Tuesday, April 9, forecoming the first round of seven phase Lok Sabha polls 2019 which will be held on April 11. He entitled it as “short sighted and arrogant“.
The BJP manifesto was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Amit Shah President and Home Minister Rajnath Singh on April 8 just 7 days after Congress manifesto. Their major highlights were for the zero tolerance for terrorists, home for every one, national security, giving benefit to farmers and middle class people, improve in education and many more.
Gandhi altered the motive of Congress manifesto and differentiates both Congress and BJP manifesto in such a way that he hits out at BJP for enclosing its manifesto silently in a closed manner. While, he stated that Congress’ manifesto was released by long sightedness in front of large audience. “The difference between manifesto of BJP and Congress can be seen firstly from the cover page. Our manifesto has a crowd of people, while BJP’s has a face of just one man i.e. Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he added. Congress manifesto highlighted mainly improving financial stability in the country while BJP manifesto aimed to improve national security but both of them have focused on same issues but with different ideology.
Smriti Irani, who is contesting against Rahul Gandhi from Amethi, hits back at Rahul focusing on his obsession for national security. If he has compulsion of it, then he might have same focused on national security in the country. Then, again BJP gave the controversial statement framing one BJP leader’s goal to build new India, and on the other side, one man who just pledged for the country and take back his actions.
