The Union Minister Maneka Gandhi on Thursday addressed the people of Turab Khani village in Sultanpur, which is a Muslim dominated village, and warned them that she will anyhow win the seat but if she will be getting that win without the support of the Muslims then she will also not support them when they will be having any work from her.

Maneka Gandhi’s 3 minutes video is catching the eyes of everyone which has gone viral in social media. Maneka Gandhi is currently the Union cabinet minister for women and child development. She is MP from UP’s Pilibhit, for this 2019 Lok Sabha election she started her campaigning from Sultanpur seat before 10 days. Sultanpur is currently coming under her Varun Gandhi’s jurisdiction but in this election, Varun will be contesting from Pilibhit which he won in 2009.

In the video, Maneka Gandhi can be seen politely threating the people of Turab Khani village that it will be not good for them if they will not vote for her, because she will be definitely winning, and afterward if they have some work from her then she will not do because it is a give and take relationship.

What Maneka Gandhi said….

“This is important. I am winning. I am winning because of the love and support of people. But if my victory is without Muslims, I won’t feel that good. Dil khatta ho jayega. Then when a Muslim comes to me for work, I think let it be, how does it matter. It’s all give and take, isn’t it? We aren’t all sons of Mahatma Gandhi, are we?. It’s not that we keep on giving and then losing in the election. This victory will happen with or without you.” After some time she continued, “I have already won the elections, but you will need me. This is your chance to lay the foundation. When the election comes and this booth throws up 100 votes or 50 votes, and then you come to me for work we will see…I don’t see any divides, I see only pain, sadness and love. So it is up to you…”

This has landed Maneka Gandhi into controversy. Congress leader Sanjay Jha criticized her and said her speech was ‘scandalous’. Related to this matter Jha tweeted, “#SCANDAL! Naukri Ek sauda hai says #BJP’s #ManekaGandhi. Dear Demographic Dividend India, now you know why India has an unemployment, #jobs crisis. For #BJP, providing jobs is a commercial deal; you have to help them first to get a job. A quid pro quo. It is a barter, give & take.”

Last week also Maneka Gandhi was in news for her comment on BSP chief Mayawati. She termed Mayawati as “merchant of tickets” and said that Mayawati doesn’t spare her party people; she takes Rs 15-20 crore from them who wants to be chosen as a candidate from her party.

To vote or to vote against anyone is a personal choice of every individual, no political party has any right to manipulate or to threaten or to give bribe and acquire votes. And after winning also the political party should not keep any grudge against those who voted against them and they should work for the development of everyone so that our country will progress.
