Dantewada | Leaders were attacked in Chhattisgarh and Jammu and Kashmir between Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Maoists blasted IED in Dantewada of Chhattisgarh. In it, BJP MLA Bhima Mandavi died and four jawans were martyred. Dantewada district Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallava told on Wednesday that during the incident, there were around a hundred Naxalites under the leadership of Naxal commander Vinod and Deva. Of these, approximately 60 were armed. Pallava told that the Malangir Area Committee of the Maoists is active in this area. In this incident along with the area committee, the Keralpal Area Committee and the Naxalite of the Jagargunda Area Committee were also involved.
He told that after the incident nine mm pistol and two rifles were missing. Probably Naxalites took it with him. Police officials said that according to the information so far, the Maoists have done this blast by planning this incident as large number of armed Naxalites can not be gathered in less time. Perhaps the MLA Mandavi was framed by the Maoists in his woven net and murdered him.
He told that in the area on Tuesday, Mandavi’s third election tour was held. Earlier this route was protected by the DRG jawans twice in five days. It is a partial fact that the Maoists had planted bombs in a day in a day. Police officials said that the police is investigating the call details of Mandavi. The legislator’s mobile phone is also missing. Perhaps the Naxalites took it with him. Pallav said that on Tuesday, extra security was provided to MLA Mandavi on the incident.
