Panaji | Congress once again claimed to Goa governor, Mridula Sinha to dismiss the Manohar’s government that had “No trust on people” and form a government of single largest party that is Congress, after the demise of former Mapusa BJP MLA Francis D’Souza and Manohar Parrikar, late CM of Goa.
Chandrakant Kavlekar, the opposition party leader signed the letter and submitted to Sinha on Saturday. The Congress also hunt a meeting with Sinha to justify their claim to form the government.
Congress has stated its strength of being 14 MLA members while BJP has 12 MLAs’ in total of 40 members, of which due to the sad demise of Manohar and Francis, they are left with 36 members.
The BJP called an ‘emergency‘ meeting of its MLAs at the party’s Panaji office. Deputy Speaker and BJP MLA from Calangute Michael Lobo after the meeting said, “emergency meeting was called because Parrikar’s health has deteriorated since last night. Doctors are continuously monitoring his health but are not saying that he will get alright anytime soon.”
