NEW DELHI | Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi slammed BJP on her campaign for Congress candidate Raj Babbar in Fatehpur Sikri (UP) on Monday, April 15, interrogating to talk about India, not Pakistan and accused BJP of peddling lies in their rally.
Priyanka denoted that she had gone round and round the country but didn’t find the BJP government focusing on the benefits for the nation. The development of country is insensible to the farmers and unemployed youths of the nation. “I have travelled across the state, youth are unemployed, farmers are worried and indebted because there is no profit,” she exposed BJP.
Priyanka plied BJP with questions, interrogating BJP for no improvement in the jobs of the people and the citizens of nation yet, are bound to take loan and bear high cost. She tackled the opposition government about its policies for women security. “I have seen the reality in the eyes of youth who complain about jobs, seen it in the eyes of potato growers who come to Raebareli and Lucknow to talk about their loans and the high costs that they have to bear,” she added.
“They talk about Pakistan. If BJP is patriotic then do not talk about Pakistan but tell us what you are doing for India,” Priyanka said.
While contradicting BJP manifesto during her speech, she also marked the scheme of giving free medical care to the individual in the government hospitals in Congress manifesto. She said the Congress is upsetting to hold out the people through its Nyay scheme of minimum income guarantee while the BJP is trying to denominate to make everyone still in a low voice.
Priyanka also hit at BJP for not meeting poor farmers and their families when many of them came on road to protest for food and development. She claimed BJP’s fraud nature of being patriotic. Patriotism is when the love for your own people comes first. Fatehpur Sikri will vote in the next round of the national election on Thursday, one day to go. The results will be announced on May 23.
