On Sunday before the sun came, the IT department came to Kamal Nath. At around 3 am in the morning nearly 200 IT department people and police officers raided at 52 locations in four states which were related to the CM Mr. Kamal Nath.
Why the raid took place?
As per the IT department people, the searches were held on charges of tax evasion and transmission of hawala money during the ongoing polls season. Even the money was used for funding political campaigns and bribe the voters.
How the raid took place?
The raids took place at Indore, Bhopal, and Delhi (Green Park) in the residences and offices of Kamal Nath’s near and dear ones, Pravin Kakkad (Officer on Special Duty), adviser Rajendra Miglani and those related to Kamal Nath’s brother-in-law’s firm, Moser Bayer and his nephew’s Ratul Puri’s company. Just before the dates of the Lok Sabha polls were announced, both Kakkad and Miglani resigned from their posts. The IT department people came in auto-rickshaws and taxis so that no one can even guess about the raid.
Details of the raid:-
In Indore, the raids were held at Pravin Kakkad Vijay Nagar residence and other places linked to him, even in his Bhopal’s Nadir Colony house the raid was held. Among the 52 locations Ahmedabad was also there. Ashwin Sharma who is associated to Kakkad, the former’s properties were also searched in his Bhopal’s Platinum Plaza residence. The raids were also done on Kolkata-based businessman Paras Mal Lodha, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on money laundering charges after demonetization, he was actually linked to hawala transaction with Kamal Nath’s brother in law Deepak Puri.
On Sunday What All Were Recovered:-
The IT department have recovered cash amounting to Rs 10-14 crore, some costly liquor brand bottles, and firearms were recovered.
What Mr.Kamal Nath said regarding this raids…
“The situation about the IT raids is not clear yet. It would be appropriate to speak on this after the situation is clear. But the entire country knows how the constitutional institutions were used and against whom they were used during the past five years. These institutions were used to scare people. When they do not have anything to say on development and their work, they use this kind of tactics against their opponents.”
On Monday:-
In the CBDT’s mail it claimed that 52 locations in four states were raided by 300 officers and they recovered an unaccounted cash of Rs 14.6 crore till now, 252 bottles of costly liquor, few arms and tiger skin. Before the CBDT’s mail, at around 10:53 am BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya tweeted that the transfer express in Madhya Pradesh has come out of its track, there is no loss of life, but loss of 281 crore as estimated. After this the media coordinator of Madhya Pradesh CM, Narendra Saluja said “How could the BJP leader come to know of the figure in the morning? What kind of collusion is this?”
The Congress and the BJP fight:-
Madhya Pradesh Congress media cell’s vice president Bhupendra Gupta blamed the BJP and convicted that the raids were done on the orders of the BJP leaders and because of this Andhra Pradesh CM (N Chandrababu Naidu) and DMK leader (M K Stalin) had sat on a protest against the Centre. Reply to this was given by BJP’s Kailash Vijayvargiya, “Black money worth crores was recovered during the Income Tax department’s raid at the house of private secretary of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath. This has made one thing clear that those who are thieves have a complaint against the watchman.”
