On Sunday, both Congress and BJP have released slogan and theme song for the upcoming elections in New Delhi. For BJP, the union finance minister Arun Jaitley had called a press meet at the BJP headquarters to release the theme song and other media materials. For the Congress, senior Congress leader Anand Sharma, Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala and other Congress leaders released the theme song in a press meet.
Nowadays with the advancement of technology, the campaigning process is also becoming digital. Not only the leaders give speeches and do road shows but also release tag lines, theme songs, ring tones, social media advertising for the election purpose. And our National Parties have also did the same. Both Congress and BJP are working hard and are coming up with innovative ideas for the campaigning. The BJP’s tag line is ‘Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar’ and the Congress tag line is ‘Ab Hoga Nyay’.
The Congress…..
‘Ab Hoga Nyay’ not also concentrates on the basic minimum income scheme which they had earlier said in their manifesto but also say that during the last five years of the BJP rule the atmosphere of the country is full of injustice and this will be coming to end if the Congress is elected to the Centre in this election. The party’s theme song name is ‘Main hi toh Hindustan hoon’ which has been written by Javed Akhtar. The video has been directed by Nikkhil Advani and the cinematography is done by Tushar Kanti Ray which tells about the demonetization, unemployed youth which will be getting resolved under the Congress if it is elected to power in 2019. The concept in the video and the script is by Anuja Chauhan and the music is composed by Arjunna Harjai. The party will be doing its campaigning on TV films, cinema posts, radio jingles, public hoardings, papers, pamphlets, social media, public transports. The campaigning songs and tag lines have also been translated into 6 vernacular languages like Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, and Malayalam. A unique way of campaigning will be done in which thousands of trucks with Congress campaign advertisements on them will be taking the party’s message to different parts of the Country which has already been started from Sunday.
The BJP…….
‘Phir ek baar Modi Sarkar banate hai, phir se kamal khilate hain’ these are main line in the party’s theme song. The video features the various diversity of our country and the developments that the Modi government did in this five year and the dashing steps which Modi had taken related to the terrorists. Other than the tag line and the theme song, the party has already released its ringtones for JIO, Vodafone, Airtel, Idea users. BJP’s campaign on the TV and radio will talk about national security, government’s achievements, women empowerment (Ujwalla Scheme), corruption-free government, PM Kisan Yojna, the welfare of the poor, middle class and the newly emerging middle class. By promising a corruption free and decisive government, the BJP theme for the first campaign will be ‘Kaam Karne Waali Sarkar’, the second theme will be ‘Imaandar Sarkar’, and the third theme will be ‘Bade Faisle Lene Waali Sarkar’. In the press meet, Mr. Arun Jaitely on the Congress Manifesto said, “I am surprised that the Congress Manifesto did not even have a word on India’s emerging middle class. The poor people dream to become the middle class but the Congress has experts from abroad who think it is wise to raise taxation on the rich. Congress has promised nothing new or unique, people believe in future promises when you have actually fulfilled promises made in the past. Their 1951 manifesto also talked about eradicating poverty.”
On 8th April at 11 am the BJP will be releasing its manifesto for the upcoming elections. The manifesto name is ‘Sankalp Patra Lok Sabha 2019’ that will be mainly focusing on national development and national security. The first phase of election is on April 11th, second is on April 18th, third is on April 23rd, fourth is on April 29th, fifth is on May 6th, sixth is on May 12th and the seventh phase is on May 19th.
