NEW DELHI | Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy joins BJP after quitting Congress on Sunday, March 31. He praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and slammed Rahul Gandhi for demanding crores of money for issuing party tickets.
Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, a former senior Congress leader in Hyderabad served as various positions including NSUI and IYC. He worked as a disciplined worker for his party. He was badly defeated in the last elections. Also, he was put to shame many times by the party members.
Reddy will be joining the rally held by Narendra Modi in Telangana today, April 1. He has also shown his determination and zeal to work under Narendra Modi as he is inspired by his manpower for the Pulwama Terror attack. Also, he compared Modi with Rahul Gandhi as Rahul involved the Pulwama Terror attack in the politics. Reddy said, “On the matter of national security, there should be no politics”. This shows his responsibility towards the nation, keeping security of nation apart from politics. He has been designated as an “Ambassador for world peace” by the Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace. The nation needs such sincere workers for the betterment of the country.
“The politics in Congress is now commercialised as the middlemen have increased and sincere workers are sidelined. The voice is not reaching up to the leadership in the Congress,” he added.
Reddy referred a missive to the Prime Minister in which he has requested him to take up execution, maintenance, rehabilitation, and resettlement, planning of Polavaram project, initiate and execute Bayyaram and Kadapa steel plants in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh among other demands.
The 7 phase Lok Sabha polls will begin from April 11 and will end on May 19. The counting of votes will be held on May 23.
He also informed about the traditional values and actions which are changed for the Congress party according to the principles. He alleged Congress for influencing people with the money power in Telangana in 2018 assembly elections. This forced him to leave the party as it has become a commercialism for the party. After getting annoyed by the situation, he tried to claim the matter to the high level but no results were seen. This brought a bad reputation for the party leaders.
