Shocking Incident | Jharkhand Minister Criticized Of Striking At Woman In Public

RANCHI: Jharkhand BJP leader and Agriculture Minister Randhir Singh on Tuesday, has remarked a controversy, the minister has been accused of slapping an elected woman representative Pinki Kumari who is Zila Parishad member of Sarath block in Jamtara district.

Pinki Kumari, a zila parishad member of Sarath block, filed a complaint at Karmatand police station. The minister disagreed with this and called it a “political conspiracy”. BJP workers also lodged a counter complaint at the same police station. “The complaints were lodged by both the parties against each other,” Jamtara Sub-divisional Police Officer Arvind Upadhyay told, “We will investigate the matter and then lodge an FIR”.

Pinki was at the religious event on villagers’ invitation and when she was about to pick Kalash to perform in the religious program, minister’s workers came and forced her to escape the place. “They said the function was being organized by the minister. I told them that won’t leave the place until villagers ask me to go. Then, they called up the minister. The minister came and started abusing me. He slapped me repeatedly and broke my eyeglasses. Then he left the place following the protest from the villagers,” she alleged.

During the program, some argument held between Randhir Singh and Zila Parishad Pinki Kumari and in the heat of the moment the minister slapped after which the woman fell down and her spectacles broke. On the controversy, Singh declared that this was a political stunt to defame him. He told that the lady slapped him and held his collar.

Soon after the incident, people who were present there protested against Randhir Singh. They started raising slogans against him. However, BJP minister Randhir has dismissed these allegation.  He said that Pinki Kumari used abusive language for him. Jamtara district MLA and Congress minister Irfan Ansari criticized BJP for this. The countdown for Lok Sabha elections has begun. As a result, no party will lose any chance to criticize BJP.

This anti-woman image of BJP ministers can affect the party for upcoming Lok Sabh elections. Even before this, BJP spokesman Gaurav Bhatia had made an unfair comment to ABP anchor Rubika Liyaquat. He said that women wearing bangles and sarees were faint-hearted.
