{"id":2010,"date":"2019-04-02T14:58:48","date_gmt":"2019-04-02T14:58:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/buzzittoday.com\/?p=2010"},"modified":"2019-04-02T14:58:48","modified_gmt":"2019-04-02T14:58:48","slug":"lok-sabha-elections-2019-congress-leaders-reach-against-bjp-to-election-commission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.buzzittoday.com\/in\/lok-sabha-elections-2019-congress-leaders-reach-against-bjp-to-election-commission\/","title":{"rendered":"Lok Sabha Elections 2019 | Congress Leaders Reach Against BJP To Election Commission ."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\"><strong>NEW DELHI<\/strong>: <em>On Monday, April 1, the <\/em><strong><em>Congress<\/em><\/strong><em> made headway to the Election Commission at odds with the BJP&#8217;s claimed &#8220;misuse&#8221; of television channel &#8220;<\/em><strong><em>Doordarshan<\/em><\/strong><em>&#8221;  in scattering some speeches of Prime Minister <\/em><strong><em>Narendra Modi<\/em><\/strong><em> and for using &#8220;<\/em><strong><em>Namo channel<\/em><\/strong><em>&#8221; as a political weapon for campaigning. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senior Congress leaders Kapil Sibal and Abhishek Manu Singhvi conveyed three resprestations to the EC against BJP. The first representation was <strong>against the chief electoral officer of Jharkhand <\/strong>on the issue of some pending criminal cases heading towards the suspension of the related authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The other two representations were against the BJP&#8217;s continuous efforts for <strong>violating the model code of conduct<\/strong> by misusing the Doordarshan channel for broadcasting presentations of Narendra Modi and arising the brand of &#8220;Namo&#8221; for particular channel. These channels were used which breached the model code of conduct and according to the Representation Of People Act (RPA), there cannot be any election campaigning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Aam Aadmi Party writes to Election Commission over 24-hour channel &#39;NAMO TV&#39;. The letter states,&quot;Can permission be granted to a party to have their own TV channel even after model code of conduct is enforced? If no permission was sought by ECI then what action has been taken?&quot;<\/p>&mdash; ANI (@ANI) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ANI\/status\/1112642457513197568?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 1, 2019<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, AAP (Aam Admi Party) legal cell member Mohd Irshad submitted a letter to Election Comission, asking whether BJP has taken prior permission for launching their own TV channel. Some action should be taken with respect to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The channel &#8220;<strong>Content TV<\/strong>&#8221; is also responsible for boosting the party by broadcasting videos and speech of their success and \u201cJumlas\u201d.
