Patna: The \u2018Mahagathbandhan\u2019 (grand alliance) in Bihar is formed by the RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal), Congress, RLSP (Rashtriya Lok Samata Party), HAM (Hindustani Awam Morcha), and VIP (Vikassheel Insan\u00a0Party). On Friday they announced 38 out of 40 seats to be contested by each of the alliance partners in phases three to seven of the general elections. Two Candidates who are left that is for the seat of Sheohar (RJD) and the Madhubani (VIP) will be announced later.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n[bctt tweet=”Who are you with, in the coming Lok Sabha Elections? The RJD has announced names of 19 candidates out of 20 seats for which it is contesting. It has left Ara for the Communist Party of India, and Raju Yadav will be appointed by them for Ara. The seat-sharing arrangement was announced by RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav at a press conference in Patna but Senior leaders of the Congress were absent at the press conference so this created a detectable situation. Mr. Tejaswi Yadav said \u201cAs you all know, all senior State Congress leaders are in Delhi but I\u2019ve spoken to all of them before coming here\u201d. Former Chief Minister and Leader of the HAM (Secular) Jitan Ram Manjhi and VIP party\u2019s chief Mukesh Sahni were present in the press conference. RLSP President Upendra Kushwaha was not present at the press conference, but his party representative participated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RJD has given some of the seats to its family members, Misa Bharti, Rajya Sabha member and eldest daughter of party chief Lalu Prasad will be contesting from Patliputra. Previously party\u2019s MLA and spokesperson Bhai Birendra\u2019s name was coming for the Patliputra seat. The Saran seat is given to another family member Chandrika Rai, he is the father in law of Lalu\u2019s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RJD’s seats and candidates are as follows: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bhagalpur (Bulo Mandal), Banka (Jai Prakash Yadav), Madhepura (Sharad Yadav), Darbhanga (Abdul Bari Siddiqui), Vaishali (Raghuvansh Prasad Singh), Gopalgunj (Surendra Ram alias Mahant), Siwan (Heena Sahab), Maharajganj (Randhir Singh), Saran (Chandrika Rai), Hajipur (Shiv Chandra Ram), Begusarai (Tanveer Hasan), Patliputra (Misa Bharti), Buxar (Jagdanand Singh) Jehanabad (Surendra Yadav), Nawada (Vibha Devi), Jhanjharpur (Gulab Yadav), Araria (Sarfaraj Alam) and Sitamarhi (Arjun Rai).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Congress will be contesting in nine seats. Till now, it has declared candidates for Kishanganj (Mohammed Javed), Katihar (Tariq Anwar), Purnia (Uday Singh), Sasaram (Meira Kumar), Munger (Neelam Devi), Supaul (Ranjeet Ranjan) and Samastipur (Dr Ashok Kumar). Mr. Tejaswi Yadav said, \u201cThe party will announce candidates for Patna Sahib and Valmikinagar later.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr.\nTejaswi Yadav lastly said, \u201cAll is well in grand alliance and we have already\nstarted our campaign but NDA leaders are yet to be seen in constituencies for\ncampaign. This election is a contest between those who have betrayed mandate\nand the people of the state, to protect democracy and constitution.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The HAM (S) will be contesting for three seats in Gaya (Jitan Ram Manjhi), Nalanda (Ashok Kumar Azad Chandravanshi) and Aurangabad (Upendra Prasad). The VIP also will be contested in three seats in Muzaffarpur (Dr. Rajbhushan Chaudhury Nishad), Khagaria (Mukesh Sahni) and Madhubani, for which the party would announce the candidate later. The Congress can claim for Madhubani for Shakeel Ahmad and there can be a swap between the Valmikinagar seat with VIP for Madhubani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also told that the RLSP which will be contesting in Karakat, Jamui, Ujjiyarpur, East Champaran and West Champaran will announce the list of it\u2019s candidates later.  <\/p>\n \t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
